Clearances - local

All Junior Achievement volunteers are encouraged to have clearances before entering the classroom.

You will need:
1. Child Abuse History Clearance (Free every 5 years)
• Click “self-service portal”
• Click Create Individual Account (Create Account)
• We do not have a code for you, but be sure to say that your clearances are for Volunteer purposes and that you haven’t received free ones in the last 5 years.
2. Pennsylvania Access to Criminal History (PATCH) (free and fast)

Finger printing is optional for most schools.
3. Federal Bureau of Investigation Fingerprinting (Fee)
• Click IDEMIA
• Click Digital Fingerprinting
• Select your State
• Select Digital Fingerprinting again
• !!! Important!!! Put in 1KG6ZJ as the “Enter your service Code to get started” This drops the $50 fee to $23.
• Click Schedule or Manage Appointment (and follow the prompts from there.)

All of your clearances will be good for 5 years and Junior Achievement will need a copy.
