YES! Day at Millville Jr/Sr High School

Featuring: YES! (Your Economic Success) Day Experience

Our YES! (Your Economic Success) program for middle school students is a hands-on, interactive morning program where students are exposed to career readiness, entrepreneurship & personal finance related activities, led by community volunteers to help them begin thinking about the importance their education, career, and financial decisions will have on their lives as young adults.

Where: Millville Jr/Sr High School

The program provides a hands-on experience that helps students discover different career paths and learn about how they can apply their skills in the workforce. This is done through the incredible activities that are led by volunteers in the classroom.

Here are the basics of what volunteers need to know:
-- Our YES! program is a middle-school hands-on learning experience that runs roughly from 7:30-11am. 
-- Volunteers will be paired up and assigned to a classroom to deliver one 30-minute activity to four separate groups of students.
-- Volunteers do not need any experience in the session they lead -- they just need a willingness to present the given material to the students.
-- Junior Achievement provides easy-to-follow, step-by-step instructions on how to present the activities, as well as a kit with a script to follow and all materials. 
-- The students rotate through the activities, volunteers stay in the same classroom presenting their activity to 4 different classes.
-- The teacher stays with their class the entire time.
